Lap swimming lanes are open on an hourly reservation basis and limited to 2 people per lane. Drop-in lanes are also available during morning and afternoon lap swim times. The schedule is subject to change, for the most updated information visit esrec.org under the "Aquatics Lane Rentals" tab for the lap swimming schedule or by calling 310-524-2738.

This is a season pool, only open in Summer, from 12:00pm-5:00pm. 

Free with a valid El Segundo Rec ID. $7.00 Adults / $5.00 Youth for Rec Swim.

If you are looking to join one of our user groups (club swim team, club water polo, master swim), you need to go through them directly. 

Aquatics Center Lane Reservations Steps

Please note: If you are on your mobile device, click menu DESKTOP VERSION to make a reservation. 

1. Visit esrec.org
2. Once on the reservation site, log into your existing account or if it is your first time, create an account.
3. Once logged in, click on the tab labeled "Aquatic Lane Rentals"
4. Click on your desired pool (Instructional Pool or Competition Pool).
5. Set the date you would like to see availability for
6. Update start time to reflect the time you are interested in
7. Check Availability (green=available, red=reserved, and lane title on the left)
8. Click on the green time and lane block you are interested in (Please note, each reservation is for 50 minutes starting at the top of the hour)
9. Click "add to cart"
10. Once the cart pops up hit “Checkout”
11. Click on the square to the left of “I Agree” to adhere to all of our guidelines, and then click “submit responses”
12. Sign the waiver
13. Enter payment information and click "complete transaction"
14. Please look over guidelines available on your receipt and below prior to arriving at our facility.

Booking Hilltop Pool and Picnic Areas

1.  Visit esrec.org

4. Click on “Hilltop Park & Pool”.
5. Set the date you would like to see availability for
6. Update start time to reflect the time you are interested in
7. Check Availability (green available, red reserved, and lane title on the left)
8. Click on the green time you are interested in
9. Adjust the start and end time you are interested (minimum 2 hours required)
10. Click add to cart
11. Once the cart pops up hit “Checkout”
12. Click on the square to the left of “I agree” to adhere to all of our guidelines and input how many swim passes you will need, and then click “submit responses”
13. Check the box to agree to the waiver and sign
14. Enter payment information and click complete transaction

By booking a party or table, it does not mean booking the entire pool, outside guests will be allowed to use the pool. 

Staff will call and follow up with you regarding your party. Please note, if you are interested in using any of the picnic benches, those are a separate reservation labeled as Picnic Area 1 - 5.

Please look over guidelines available on your receipt and below prior to arriving at our facility.

Lanes will be available to use seven days a week for varying hours dependent on permit group reservations

• All open swim lane reservations are restricted to TWO swimmers per lane.
• No instructors allowed.
• Reservations are limited to 1-hour, multiple hours will require multiple separate reservations
• Reservations can be made in advance online at esrec.org with pre-payment by credit card.
• Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advanced and 10 days for El Segundo Residents or Wiseburn Residents with a valid Rec ID.
• Swimmers must check-in at the front desk no sooner than 10 minutes prior to the reservation time. If you do not check in by the 15-minute mark, your lane can be forfeited.
• Please do not enter the facility if you have any symptoms or exposure risks as listed by the CDC guidelines.
• Kick boards, pull buoys, water weights, noodles, and waist belts are available to use at the facility. 
• Throw all trash away in provided trashcans.

Aquatics Center Pool Membership Policy

1. Annual Membership

• Duration: Annual memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
• Non-transferable: Annual memberships are non-transferable and can only be used by the individual member.
• No Holds: Annual memberships cannot be placed on hold for any reason, including personal, medical, or travel-related circumstances.
• Closure Impact: In the event of pool closures due to facility maintenance or unexpected weather conditions, the closure time will be added to the expiration date of active annual memberships.
• Extensions will also be given for full day closures due to events and special rentals
• Members will be notified of any such closures and the corresponding extension to their membership period.

2. Punch Passes

• Options: Available in 10, 20, and 30 punch increments.
• No Expiration: Punch passes do not expire and can be used at any time during operating hours.
• Usage: Each punch grants one-time access to the pool facilities.

3. Cancellation Policy

• Refunds: Refunds for annual memberships or punch passes are not provided except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of management.
• Early Termination: Members who wish to terminate their membership early will not receive a refund or credit for the remaining membership period.

General Policies

1. Member Conduct

• Compliance: Members are expected to follow all pool rules and regulations. Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.
• Safety: Safety is a priority. Members must adhere to lifeguard instructions and posted safety guidelines.

2. Facility Access

• Entry:  Punch pass holders and annual membership holders must check in at the front window prior to each use to gain access to the pool

3. Updates and Changes

• Policy Changes: The pool management reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes.

 

The base rental rate for reserving half of a lane is $7.00 for 50 minutes.

All facility rental discounts will be applied upon checkout. If the price is not correct, please call 310-524-2738 for help.

Discounts include:

• Punch pass or annual membership holder (this should reflect a fee of $0 upon checkout)
• Wiseburn or El Segundo Resident with a valid Recreation ID
• Seniors aged 62 and up (Must show ID to staff to be eligible for discount)
• Military, Police, and Fire (Must show ID to staff to be eligible for discount)
• Hilltop non-resident membership
